Chassis Type Approval- a document certifying the conformity of the chassis issued in circulation, referred to one type, with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union “On the safety of wheeled vehicles” (ТР ТС 018/2011 TR). This document confirms the quality of the chassis and its compliance with the necessary safety standards and environmental requirements in force in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter - the EAEU, the Union). An applicant for a type approval may be a manufacturer registered in accordance with the laws of an EAEU Member State and resident in that state, which has been assigned an international vehicle identification code of the vehicle manufacturer, or a representative of the manufacturer acting on its behalf.

Required documents for registration of OTS:

1. general technical description of the object in respect of which the conformity assessment is carried out. Documents shall be submitted in two copies, indicating the date of their compilation, the name and position of the signatory;
2. Evidence materials available on the date of filing of the application, confirming that the chassis complies with the requirements of technical regulations;
3. The certificate of conformity of the quality management system used by the manufacturer. In the absence of such a certificate, the applicant submits a description of the production conditions in a volume that makes it possible to analyze documents in accordance with Appendix No. 13 to the technical regulations and a plan for monitoring the conformity of products to the requirements of technical regulations indicating the volume and frequency of inspections and control tests, the number of samples to be checked, as well as the location of the inspections;
4. a document on the assignment in accordance with the established procedure of an international identification code to a vehicle manufacturer (for chassis manufactured in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union);
5. declaration on the compliance of the chassis marking with the requirements of Appendix No. 7 to the technical regulations of the Customs Union “On the safety of wheeled vehicles” (ТР ТС ТС 018/2011);
6. The applicant, who is not a product manufacturer, represents to the certification body an agreement between the manufacturer and the applicant to grant the manufacturer the authority of the applicant to conduct conformity assessment and jointly and severally with the manufacturer, responsibility for ensuring product safety in the Customs Union member states in accordance with its requirements.

It is issued and issued by an accredited conformity assessment body included in the Unified Register of Certification Bodies and Testing Laboratories (Centers) of the EAEU.
